Providing Innovative Solutions to a Host of Legal Concerns

Family law lawyer Joan Iacono is a hands-on kind of person. She finds a way to accomplish what she needs to accomplish, whether in a court of law or in her private life. A seasoned and confident litigator, she is known for zealously representing her clients' interests.

"First, I'll try to negotiate a quick and fair settlement for my clients," says Iacono. "But we will litigate if we have to."

Iacono Law also takes pride in crafting customized strategies to achieve her clients' goals. Her innovative approach is a strong asset in all areas of practice, including family law, real estate law, probate and estate law and litigation.

More Than Three Decades of Experience

Iacono was born and raised in Westchester County, where she has been a lawyer for more than 30 years. However, a large part of her private practice has been in Manhattan and Bronx Counties.

From 1988 to 1992, she served as Principal Court Attorney to the Chief Judge of the Bronx County Family Court, an acting Supreme Court Justice. There she helped draft court opinions, assisted in trial management and courthouse management, and conferenced cases with litigants and lawyers to effect settlement.

The experience was valuable for Iacono's private practice, as it gave her a substantial insight into the judicial side of family law and the decision-making process in New York Family and Supreme Court. As a result, she is better able to advise her clients and develop successful strategies.

Access to a Spectrum of Other Legal Resources

Joan complements her staffing with paralegals, forensic experts and of-counsel attorneys as needed. As a sole practitioner with a large supporting network, she is able to keep the overhead low without sacrificing quality.
